Thriller,Halloween, a new cousin and my beautiful new niece!

First things first, I have the most beautiful new niece who made me and AE an aunt and uncle for the first time! I never knew I could love someone as much as I love her but she seriously melts my heart. Her name is Myla Madison Herr and she was born on Nov. 12th. Like I said, I love her! Can you tell I am a proud aunt?

The proud new mom and dad! Nicole you look amazing for just having a baby btw.

As you can see, she has a lot of dark hair and her skin is already darker than mine... lucky girl! Doesn't AE look like a natural? ha ha Anyway, congrats Nate and Nicole! Love you guys and I am so glad you guys to bring this beautiful little girl into the world. I promise I will try not to spoil her to much.

And here is a picture of my cousin Emily's new baby Kaizer. she had him a week before Nate and Nicole had Myla. That will be so fun to have them so close in age. Congrats Emily and Aaron. He is adorable.

Thriller
A couple weeks before Halloween all the girls in the Herr family went to Thriller. It was a blast and we loved being surrounded by the fall colors. Here are some pictures from the event:

Halloween Festivities
This year I dressed up four times for Halloween and I loved ever minute of it. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I loved that I got to spend it with my family, friends and kiddos! I saw some interesting costumes to say the least and I love that my family goes all out. My family starts planning their costumes a year in advance so I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with next year. Also thanks to everyone that attended our Halloween/Utah party!
Family Party:

School parade and party:
The Kindergarten team were all army people. It was fun to feel like I was part of a group. The picture with the two other girls are two other student teachers working in my school.

Work and Halloween party:
That is someone dressed up as a transformer. By far the coolest costume ever. There were also some great costumes at the halloween party. Because of the Utah game me and AE decided to dress up as BYU students....sorry if anyone is offended. It was all in good fun!

Quick update

We are here I promise. I have so much to blog about but honestly it will have to wait and it will probably have to wait until Thanksgiving. Why? Well the truth is I come home everyday (Wednesday's are the worst) completly exhausted and the last thing I want to do is blog. Teaching and taking night classes is not the way to go. I never thought the semester after I graduated would be my hardest but, it is! I am exhausted but I LOVE TEACHING!

Anyway, I promise I will fill you in on things such as Halloween very soon but the best news is that I am an aunt and I am IN LOVE with my new niece! I can't get enough of her. Anyway, until then I hope everyone is doing great.

Time for an Update

So I realized that it has been almost two months since I updated and I am pretty sure that is the longest I have ever gone. Here is a little glimpse at what is going on in our lives:

AE - he is finally working a normal 9-5 schedule and is really happy with his new work and school life. He just got promoted at work so we are super happy about that and we tend to see each other a lot more these days which is always great. We just paid off his truck and it feels wonderful to have no car payments.

Cassidy - I am currently student teaching at Granite Elementary school in a Kindergarten and First Grade classroom. I am loving teaching more than I thought I ever would. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, especially to the little ones, but I know now that this is what I am supposed to be doing. My site teachers are great and often let me take over their classes for the whole day. I am pretty sure my teaching niche is in first grade and I have already gotten attached to my kids. They are just so dange cute! I am still working one day a week at the jewelry store but other than that my life consists of student teaching and taking 18 credits at the U to get my license. Oh and I received my diploma in the mail the other day....it still doesn't feel real to be graduated from college but it feels so good at the same time.

as far as our lives go that is pretty much it. I do however know four people that are having babies (its actually more than that but these are the ones that are closest or have already had theirs) It is so fun to be around babies and to get my baby fix with their cute faces. Enjoy!

This is my friend Emily who is due in about three weeks. She is tiny for being almost nine months along. I am so happy for you em and your little girl is going to be so cute!

This is my cute sister in law Nicole. Again a small pregnant person. I guarantee I will not be as small as these two girls! She is due in two weeks and I am so excited for her and my brother to FINALLY make me an aunt! This picture cracks me up because I am smiling so proud and she is not even here yet!

This is a picture of my cute cousin Emily who is due with her third child a day after my sister in law. They have a little girl and boy already so they aren't finding out the sex of this child. I think she is having a girl and have from the beginning. They currently live in South Carolina but are coming back to have their baby! So excited. She is tiny too. How are you guys so small and almost nine months pregant?

This cute little girl is Macie Jones. I am so sad I haven't seen her in real life yet. AE's cousin Lexi had her baby a couple weeks ago and we are so happy for them. Sorry Lexi I had to steal this picture so I could share your cute little girl. You guys look like your doing great and we really can't wait to meet her!

That's about it and hopefully I will have more to update about sooner than later.

Three years

A,
Yesterday was our three year anniversary and it seems like three years went by so fast! Three years is along time and I think people are starting to wonder why we don't have kids yet but I wouldn't have our lives any other way. We have done so many things in the past three years and I really think this has made our relationship stronger. In the last three years we have:
Gone on many vacations:

Hawaii 08

Chicago 09. I felt like such a grown up flying on a plane just you and me!

Alaska Cruise 09. I think this vacation is one of the most memorable. I loved driving home and laughing till we were crying. I love that we still make each other laugh.

Mesa Verde 09. Seeing your face light up. Having one of your dream vacations come true made me so happy.

Washington 08.

Cruise to Carribean 06.
Lived in two different places:

our first place with the cinderblock walls and no kitchen space.

To our new place that we bought with our very own money and re did all by ourselves. I know our new place isn't perfect but I am glad to call it ours.
Bought our very own dog!:

I am glad she won over your heart and hey we haven't killed her. We might be good parents someday.
I graduated from College and we have both changed jobs twice:

I am glad that you said yes three years ago and that you chose me. Look how far we have come from dating to an old married couple. I can't wait for eternity. I know sometimes our lives may seem crazy but I am glad that our lives get to be crazy together. Love you honey! Thank you for working so hard and for always making me happy.

All of these pictures are from when we were dating. We look SO young and thin....maybe we should do something about that ha ha.

So I cut my hair....and I love it!

I decided to cut my hair. I was getting sick of it long and I always love it short so here is a picture of my new hair. I feel very sassy with this new cut. ha ha.

Also the other picture is of what Bella does anytime you are on the floor. She thinks she is a lap dog. Silly Lab! And yes that is AE installing our new dishwasher! We had a little more money than we thought saved so we bought one and it is amazing. ha ha

Fun in the Windy City

We had a blast in Chicago and everytime we visit a city a swear I was meant to be a city girl. I would live in Chicago in a heart beat. We loved every minute of our trip and it ended too soon.

This is AE's cousin and her husband that we stayed with. Thank you so much Ben and Lexi!! We had a blast and you guys were great hosts. Lexi you are the cutest 6 months prego I have ever seen. I can't wait to meet your little girl.

Every fourth of July Chicago does this great thing called "Taste of Chicago" You pay so much money and get to taste all these great food for pretty inexpenisve. It was amazing!

The picture of the city through a window is the view we saw all week through Ben and Lexi's place...Amazing I know.

We went to a Cub's game where thy won 9 - 5. It was an amazing experience and cubs fans are the best. I thought it was so cool that they still had the old score board where people actually sit up in it and physically change the score by hand. Wrigley field and Fenway park are the only baseball fields still like this (which is cool because those are the two greatest baseball teams :))

We did a session at the Chicago temple.

We watched fireworks on the third at Grant park and Over Lake Michigan on the fourth. Amazing fireworks. If you have never seen 1 million people in one sitting you should watch fireworks at grant park (where Obama gave his winning speech). It is an interesting experience.

Over all we ate great food! I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the deep dish pizza we ate. If you are ever in Chicago you have to eat at Giordano's. They have the most amazing deep dish pizza and also the corner bakery where I ate a great salad. We saw lots of great buildings and saw some great people. The picture of us with the family is the Lambournes. We used to live by them and it was so good to see them. Their girls are so big and so adorable. Oh and does the third to last picture look familiar? That is where Batman drives his bullet bike in the Dark knight. That street was right by their place. Pretty cool.

We loved our trip and hope to go back soon! Again thank you Ben and Lexi for housing us for four days. We had a blast!

our cruise ship and the people we met along the way

ok I promise I am almost done with cruise posts infact this is the last one. We met some amazing people and ate the most amazing food. Princess cruises is a good cruise ship and I would book through them again.

Our room guy lined my shoes up. It was hilarious and he was so nice.

These were two of the couples we met. We had so much fun with them and they both said they adopted us for the week as grandchildren.
