Everyone keeps telling me that I need to buy this book and read it. I want opinions before I spend the money so please share what you think about this book. Thanks.

I loved it! I didn't follow it to the T but I totally think alot of what they have to say is true and really works!

I read it before I even became pregnant and really liked a lot of what the book had to say. It was an easy, interesting read and it has helped a lot of my friends kids sleep through the night early on but it doesn't work for everybody. I would say read it even if you decide it's not for you at least you have options.

I read it and liked it too. I know that a lot of people have issues with it though. I just chose a few things that I liked and it helped - like the schedule - Eat, Wake, Sleep. It's hard for the first little while to not let them fall asleep while nursing just because they sleep so much at the beginning, but just getting on a schedule helped a lot. I'm a schedule type of person though, my day has to have order and routine or I go crazy. There are some other things in the book that are a little over-the-top for me though.

Sorry, you don't even know me. I am a friend of Lindsey Knudsen and I saw your blog title Baby Wise and HAD to check it out because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Baby Wise! My little boy was sleeping through the night at 8 weeks! He is the happiest baby ever because he is well fed, well rested and has an awesome routine/ schedule. I honestly could not be a mother without this book. There are SOOO many good things in this book that you can learn about a babies sleep patterns and tips ad tricks to help you out. Also, check out the BW blog babywisemom.com there are lots of sample schedules and Q&A that people write that you probably have the same questions. Read it! Sorry for creeping on your blog! -Ali

I didn't read the whole thing but I read all the parts my sister in law highlighted. The schedule thing is huge. Max has always went to sleep by himself... but obviously he still doesn't stay asleep very well. So it doesn't always work 100% I did find though that the better he takes naps in the day the better he sleeps at night. Try to have a day time schedule as much as possible too :) I hope she is just a good sleeper.

Read it. The book says your baby could start sleeping through the night by 8 weeks but don't get your hopes up...it's obviously not going to happen every time. Haddy started really sleeping through the night regularly at 3 1/2 months and I followed all the baby wise stuff. But I still really liked how the routines were set up and it has some good advice. The main jist of the whole book though is to put your baby onto a routine in this order: eat, awake time, nap, repeat, instead of how people used to give a baby a bottle to put them to sleep for a nap. hope that helps..

I have it and read it, but honestly I felt like most of what it tells you to do, is what came naturally to do as a mom. But everyone once in a while when you've been up every hour for 2 weeks and you are on the verge of a breakdown it's a nice refresher on how to get back on track.
