Seven Random Facts

I was tagged and have to write about seven random facts about myself and I will also do AE because he has some interesting quirks so here goes....

1. I love love love to cook. When we were looking for our new place one of my requirements was that I had to have a bigger kitchen with a full size dishwasher. Well it still isn't as big as I would like but it is A LOT bigger than our old place. Infact one day my dream is to have a kitchen that is about half of our house...OH that would be nice. The thing I love most about cooking is making things easier and less time consuming. Our crock pot has become my new best friend.

2. I love sweets. If there is chocolate laying around I will eat it. I can't buy sweets or I end up eating them in one sitting. Its a miracle I don't weigh 500 pounds. I don't like cake though... weird I know. I think it is because I am not a frosting fan.

3. I always wonder if I am normal. When I go to the doctor I always end up asking if what I am there for is normal. It drives AE nuts! I swear sometimes it may seem like I am a hypocondriac.

4. I HATE clutter. Just ask my husband and Bev (haha remember that night bev). If we haven't used something in six months I throw it away. He hates it so bad and swears one day he will be looking for something and I will have thrown it out. Well it hasn't happened yet so things are looking up. I just hate haveing things around that are no use to us.

5. This next one may sound like I am bragging but this is just what I have heard about myself. I pick up on things fairly easy. I probably could have been an amazing skiier, swimmer, dancer,(etc). It takes me one time and then I pretty much have it down. Maybe if I wasn't so lazy, I could have been an olympic swimmer... hmmmm. One example of this is sewing. I sewed one thing and the rest is history.

6. I have to fall asleep facing away from AE and I have to be laying on my side. If not I am restless for hours. Also I can't sleep on my stomach because I feel like I am suffocating.

7. I refuse to buy anything that is not on sale. I will never pay full price for anything regardless if I need it or not.

Now for AE

1. AE is super frugal with money and it takes a lot of convincing to get him to buy things, mostly for himself.

2. He LOVES music. Ok loves is an understatement. I think the correct wording is obsessed. He has over 15,000 songs on his itunes (all of them don't fit on his IPOD). If you need music just ask AE. He has EVERYTHING.

3. Ae can go days without eating and it doesn't faze him. We joke that he is anorexic. No wonder he stays so thin. He claims he forgets to eat. I just don't understand how someone can forget that. haha

4. He has more clothes than I do. He keeps everything especially clothes. He still has clothes from highschool.

5. Along with Music he also LOVES movies especially westerns. He always says he wants to be a cowboy.

6. Ae has a way with getting along with people. Everyone I know loves AE and he can talk to anyone and everyone.

7. Ae is a super handy man. When we were remodeling our place, he pretty much did everything by himself. He is a plumber, electrician, carpenter all in one. He had a little help but hardly at all. I am happy that I will never have to pay to have things fixed!

Its safe to say I am addicted!

Right now I am sitting here watching biggest loser and I am addicted. I am supposed to be preparing a lesson for my preschoolers for tomorrow but instead I am watching this show. Every Tuesday I find myself preparing for this show. I don't move off the couch for two hours and I am not ashamed of it. The drama on the show cracks me up! The Spon of satan is on the show and I want to kill her. Its great! You all should get addicted too. I love good reality shows.

This is for the school down south (no not dixie, not that far)

Hey BYU! BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID! Your in our territory now and I hear our fans are a little intimidating. Utah is ready to kick some cougar butt! I am so excited I have tickets to this game. GO UTES! Sorry Sandiego State. 63 - 14 is a very sad loss for you. Better luck next year.

I voted

Well I voted and it felt good. Am I going to say for who? Not exactly because as great as it is to be an American, no matter who I voted for there are McCain haters and Obama haters and freedom of speech and what it means to be an american apparently goes right out the window. I started telling people who I was voting for and got told I was going to hell one to many times so I decided to keep it to myself (Don't assume I was voting for Obama and don't assume I was voting for McCain because there are plenty of both supporters in Utah). Anyway, besides all the crap I am still proud of myself for getting out there and leaving my print. I am also proud of everyone else who voted regardless of who you voted for. McCain gave the most gracious speech I have ever heard and it brought tears to my eyes. He put all differences aside and told everyone to support the new president. That is how our country should be. Obama's speech brought tears to my eyes too as he talked about the 106 year old woman who got out and voted and about his dear gma who never to see this moment. No matter what, history was made last night and I am proud to see a person of a different race in office. I did like one person's policies better than the other but I decided that no matter who won I would support them as our leader and all I care about is that the person who is put into office really makes a change for our country. Well there is my two sense. I am not writing this to offend anyone. (its sad that I have to write that)

Here it is! The post many of you have been waiting for.

So this post is a long time coming. Sorry everyone for keeping you waiting so long but here are pictures of our new place! I wanted to wait until almost everything was done and cleaned up before I posted. I am going to do this post a little different. I couldn't post this without do it in the form of a thank you.
I am first going to thank myself to get it out of the way. I have to thank myself for all the hours (trust me it was a lot) I put into painting our new place! My sister helped me paint about half of our living room but the rest was all me. I even painted all the white that you see. I love painting but next time I am recruiting help.

Next is to my parents and family. My dad helped AE put up the cabinets and my mom helped me clean things I never even knew would need cleaning. The saturday after we got our keys they came and spent 12 hours helping me clean and getting everything ready to paint. I couldn't have done it without them. My family also helped us move everything out of our apartment and into our new place. We were able to move everything in one day. Super fast!

our bathroom floor!

Next I need to thank my in laws. They tiled the bathroom floor (yes you are reading that right) and my father in law helped pull out our yucky vines in front of our place and helped change out all the sockets and light switches. Our place definitly lookes better because of them.

I need to thank AE's grandma for feeding us during our move. She showed up with food. We would have gone hungry without her.

I have to thank Brent and Maria. Maria for helping us get into our condo (if anyone needs a realitor when they buy a place she is your woman) and Brent for hooking us up with our amazing cabinets!

I need to thank Home Depot for all the wonderful things we picked up from their store. We got a lot of things for great deals. I think I practically lived there for two weeks straight.

I also need to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers as we went through the process of getting a home of our own. As many of you know it was a long and painful process but we got into our place in the nick of time.

The top one is of our cabinets before and the bottom is of our cabinets now. HUGE difference.

And last but not least....I am so grateful for AE. He tore out sheet rock, demolished old cabinets, built our new cabinets, hung mirrors, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, covered up holes, put in our kitchen cabinets, cut a hole in the counter for a sink (a lot harder than it lookes), Installed our counter tops, connected faucets, fixed our doorbell, changed out sockets and many many more things. Without him none of this would have been possible. I am so glad i have a handy man and know that I will never have to call an electrician or a plumber. I love you honey.

I am sorry if I left anyone out. Just know I appreciated any help I got.

Here are just a few extra pictures of our place. I hope you enjoy.

Some of these pictures may look weird. It was hard to get an angle of some. Also in the picture with our cabinets we still need to order end pieces, kick boards and another filler so that's why they may look funny. We also need to get handles and knobs for our doors and drawers.
